UPDATE 10/2
We've reached the most exciting part of our Charity Auction for Theatregirl7299! This final week is all about the bidding! Some of you have been bidding, and then some of you have already launched your counter-bids!

Be sure to check all the way through the listings—there are a LOT of different things being offered! Crocheted goods, stamped metal jewelry, fabric snack bags, beaded jewelry, and handmade objet d'art join fiction and art offers! I can't even list the writers and artists who are offering their talents, because there are SO MANY! SO browse browse browse, and let your f-list/friends/tweet list/tumblr know what's up too! Feature your own offers if you're a seller as well!

A note about counter-bidding: be sure to comment to the bid you are surpassing, so that the prior bidder knows and we can follow the progression of the bid. Thank you!

UPDATE AND PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS

We're super excited by all the wonderful auctions y'all are offering, as well as the busy bidding!!! Thank you so much!!

We're mid-way through the second week, so and I want to let you know what to expect and answer a couple of questions.

Caps on fic auctions are for word count, not bids. If I am offering 6K words, that's going to be the top limit of words I guarantee to write, but the money can still go up. So if there's a bid for $60, that person can be outbid by a bid of $70, but the fic remains at 6K.

No more offers can be posted after Sunday 9/29 midnight EST. The final week will be for bidding only. We want to give people a chance to peruse all the offers and decide what to spend their money on.

Payment: You can make your payment to EITHER the Go Fund Me OR to Milana's Paypal account at milana.bannon@gmail.com.

Once payment has been made
, send a screen shot (blurring or blacking out any sensitive information) to either firesign10@gmail.com or ashtraythieflj@gmx.de

Ash and I will check off that you have concluded your payment and notify your seller that they are now free to create for you, or ship your item to you.

If you have any remaining questions, shoot us a comment! Please keep spreading the word and have fun with the rest of the auction!

theatregirl7299 is a writer and a beta reader that many of you already know from the Supernatural and White Collar fandoms. She is a wonderfully kind and helpful person, and a positive presence in our fandom world. Unfortunately, she recently experienced an injury which ultimately led to one of her feet being amputated. Her significant medical bills from surgery and rehab are compounded by her having been in the middle of moving cross-country. You can read about these financial hardships in more detail at her Go Fund Me page.

This auction will start immediately and run until Monday, October 7th. Bidding will open on Monday, September 23. (One week for posting auctions and two weeks for bidding). The last date for the auction is NOT the date by which you need to deliver your work. It's just the last date for people to bid on offers. You can talk to your winner and decide on the details/due date.

Please help spread the word and promote this auction on LJ, DW, Twitter, and Tumblr.

How to make an offer:

YOU CAN OFFER AUCTIONS IN ANY AND ALL FANDOMS OR ORIGINAL WORK.

Copy the text in the box below, fill in the details, and post it in a comment. You are most welcome to offer fic, graphics of any sort (fanart, icons, wallpapers, gifs), fanvids, podfics, and beta services. You may also offer crafts: jewelry, knitting/crocheting, sewing, calligraphy, and so on. You can offer items you've already made or items that will be made on commission. Please be specific, and for crafts, try to include a thumbnail of your work. You may offer any quantity you choose; if so, please add the relevant details to your form. E.g. you may choose to offer two sets of ten icons each; in this case, the two highest bidders on your thread will both be the winners. (Feel free to specify the length of the work and any other details you'd like to add.) If you offer different types of things, say one fic and one wallpaper, please make separate posts for each item.

How to bid:

Please respond directly to the comment by the fanwork-maker. If someone has already bid on your item, you may reply to the previous bidder's comment and offer a larger amount. On Tuesday, October 8th, the mods will contact the winners and send you the info on how to make your donation. Once your donation is confirmed (receipt or screen shot), your fanwork-maker will be informed. Please leave contact info so I can get in touch with you: you may leave your email ID in your comment or specify whether you'd like to be contacted via LJ PM instead.

PLEASE spread the word by linking to this post on your journal. You can also donate directly to theatregirl7299's Go Fund Me if you'd prefer not to participate in the auction. Reposting the GFM link will also be a HUGE help. To promote your own particular offer on your journal and elsewhere, feel free to link to your individual comment on this post.

If you have any questions, please post them under the FIRST comment below. Please reserve that comment for questions only.

Fanworks auction for bt_kady

ETA: The auction is now closed! We raised USD 300, thank you to all who offered and made bids :)

EDIT: It looks like everybody who survived Thanksgiving and Black Friday is back now :)

Since the auction is just picking up speed, I move the end to next SUNDAY, 4 DECEMBER. Let's make this thing a success, our sister needs us!

Cancer belongs to the worst news a person could get.

bt_kady just had a hysterectomy, and they found tumors in the organs. Hopefully, the biopsy will show that it didn't spread yet. Nevertheless, Kathy has to expect a boatload of medical bills that she won't be able to pay. She has a Gofundme page where you can donate directly, or you can help by participating in the auction, and/or spreading the word among your friends.

This auction will start today, 19 November, and run until Wednesday, 30 November. The last date for the auction is not the date by which you need to deliver your work. It's just the last date for people to bid on offers. You can talk to your winner and decide on the details/due date.

How to make an offer:

Copy the text below, fill in the details, and post it in a comment. You are most welcome to offer fic, graphics of any sort (fanart, icons, wallpapers, gifs), fanvids, podfic and beta services. If there's anything I've forgotten to add, please let me know and I'll add it to the list. You may offer more than one fanwork; if so, please post each offer in a separate comment to make it easier to pick a winner for each offer. (Feel free to specify the length of the work and any other details you'd like to add.)

You may also offer a “buy it now” option. Bidders for buy-it-now prices don't have to wait until the end of the auction to make their donations or to discuss their requests with the person whose offer they've won. Please specify in the subject line if your offer is buy-it-now!

How to bid:

Please respond directly to the comment by the fanwork-maker. If someone has already bid on your person, you may reply to the previous bidder's comment and offer a larger amount. After the auction has ended, I will contact the winners and send you the info on how to make your donation. Once your donation is confirmed, your fanwork-maker will be informed. Please leave contact info so I can get in touch with you: you may leave your email ID in your comment or specify whether you'd like to be contacted via LJ PM instead.

Please do spread the word by linking to this post on your journal. Reposting the link will also be a huge help. To promote your offer on your journal and elsewhere, please link to your individual comment on this post.

If you have any questions, please post them under the first comment below.

Auction for sylsdarkplace

Since I was too late to add this to last weeks auction...

I auction off a group shot of the five guests of Purgatory Con that took place last weekend in Germany. It was part of my ticket and shot on last Saturday.

P1190647.JPG

Please excuse the blurriness; the original photograph is of great quality and sized 8.2"x11.6" (Din A4)

Unfortunately, it's not signed because I'm an egotistical person who wanted all the signatures for herself. :/ Nevertheless, I'm going to send the picture wherever the new owner wants after they send me proof about donating to sylsdarkplace's gofundme page that vennstiel set up.

The auction ends next Wednesday, 17. July, when it's early afternoon in New York - that's the only thing about timezones I know: I'm six hours ahead of NYC. The opening bid is $20.

I hope I'm doing this properly.

Fanworks Auction for merakieross

Hey, everyone! One of our friends is also in need of help. merakieross has posted about her medical situation on her tumblr here. In short, she's in a bad situation with both medical bills and college fees (which need to be paid in order for her to keep her student medical insurance) coming due by July 10. She's an awesome artist (see below for an example!) who is hoping to take commissions in order to help pay for her medical expenses.

This auction is now closed and all winners should have gotten a comment with the information needed. For any further questions, feel free to contact me at selecasharp@gmail.com or PM me at selecasharp. Thank you for all those that offered something to help, and to those putting in bids for a good cause! We raised over $320!
